Nedavno je Polyeco uspešno završio PCB projekat u Kamerunu koji je obuhvatao pružanje usluga zaštite, transporta i odlaganja 211 tona ulja kontaminiranog PCB-om i opreme koja sadrži PCB u Kamerunu. Projekat je finansirao UNON, a implementiralo ga je Ministarstvo za zaštitu životne sredine Kameruna (MINEPDED).
Gruzija
Two projects were implemented by Polyeco in Georgia. One project was funded by UNDP and comprised the disposal of 230tons of POPs pesticides and initial steps for containment of dumped POPs pesticides in Georgia, and the other project was funded by the FAO and comprised the disposal of 210 tons of obsolete pesticides in licensed facilities in Europe.
Bangladeš
Safeguarding, stowage and disposal of Dichloro Diphenyl Trichloroethane (DDT) stocks in Bangladesh, which was executed in cooperation with FAO. During the project 525 tons of DDT and DDT associated waste were packed, labelled, loaded and exported for sound disposal in a European licensed facility, in accordance with the requirements of the Basel Convention. It was the first time that exportation of hazardous waste took place from Bangladesh, and this was achieved in collaboration with the local Authorities.

POPs Pesticides: Environmentally Sound Removal and Disposal of 1.663 tonnes of POPs Pesticides and POPs Impacted Wastes from the Merkim Warehouse Site in Kocaeli, Turkey.
PCBs: Implementation of a UNDP PCB waste management project in Turkey. The project included the drainage, repackaging, loading, export and environmental sound disposal of approx. 282 tons of PCBs waste from industrial locations in Turkey in a high temperature incineration facility.
Severna Makedonija
Implementation of three contracts (LOTs) for the “Clean-up of Contaminated Sites at the Former OHIS Factory in Skopje – remediation of the “small dump” (delta-HCH dump)”. The first LOT was awarded by UNIDO and the rest LOTs were implemented by the UNOPS. During these projects (3 LOTs), more than 1480 tons of HCH waste and 336 tons of HCH contaminated soil were excavated, packed, labelled, loaded and exported for sound disposal in a duly licensed facility, in accordance with the requirements of the Basel Convention. For the excavation and the execution of other projects’ activities the erection of an enclosure 50m x 55m took place and was duly equipped. Polyeco is currently implementing the management of additional 525 tons of HCH waste and 210 tons of HCH contaminated soil (LOT 4), awarded by UNOPS.
Egipat
Implementation of two World Bank funded projects regarding the management of Obsolete Pesticides in Egypt.
The first project included the repackaging, shipment and disposal of lindane and associated waste stored at Al Adabeya Port, Egypt, where 227 tons of lindane and associated waste were repacked into UN approved packaging media. The second project comprised the repacking, labelling, handling, loading, transboundary movement and environmentally sound disposal of 458 tn of POPs chemicals, obsolete pesticides and other waste from the El-Saff storage, in Giza Governorate.
Džibuti
Dismantling, packing, transportation and disposal of CCA Contaminated Soil Stored at the Port of Djibouti and Restoration of the site. The Authority “Ethiopian Electric Power” awarded to Polyeco the excavation, repackaging, temporary storage and export to Portugal of 4,186 tons of chromated copper arcenate (CCA) contaminated soil.
Malavi
Safeguarding, Stowage and Disposal of 239 tn of obsolete pesticides and ash in Malawi, funded by the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) and implemented in collaboration with the Local Authorities.
Kostarika
Provision of services for the disposal of 148 tons of oil, capacitors, transformers, soil, and other waste materials contaminated with PCBs and other POPs in Costa Rica
Etiopija
Supply of safeguarding materials, collection, packaging, licensing, export and disposal of 450tons of various obsolete pesticides from Ethiopia, implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture of Ethiopia and funded by the World Bank.
Ekvador
Disposal of 17 tons obsolete pesticides in Ecuador implemented by the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) in collaboration with the Local Authorities.
Liban
Polyeco has implemented two PCB waste management projects in Lebanon, executed by the ΜοΕ and funded by the World Bank. Both projects included the drainage, repackaging, loading, export, and disposal of the waste in a high temperature incineration facility, according to the Basel Convention.
Kazakstan
Implementation of two PCB Waste Management Projects in Kazakhstan awarded by UNDP. Due to the fact that all Kazakhstan neighboring transit countries prohibited the transit of PCB Waste, POLYECO successfully organized the air transport of PCB waste to France with the chartering of three cargo aircrafts, following the successful drainage and repackaging of PCB transformers and capacitors at extreme weather conditions of -30°C. Since then Polyeco has implemented several other PCBs projects in the country.
